Randy de Puniet 'speaking with Suzuki'
16 May 2013
Randy de Puniet admits he is speaking to Suzuki, but refused to confirm that he will riding the new bike during its public debut at the Barcelona post-race test next month.
"Sure I am speaking with Suzuki since last year, to develop the bike this year," said the Frenchman.
"This could be a very good opportunity for me, for this year, to come back with a factory team, develop a factory bike and maybe even come back next year [and race with them].
"But my first priority now is to do a good season, and if I can do a job to develop the Suzuki at the same time then we'll see what happens."
de Puniet, a former factory Kawasaki MotoGP rider, is currently third in the privateer CRT standings behind Aspar Aprilia team-mate Aleix Espargaro and Avintia's Hector Barbera.
Suzuki pulled out of MotoGP at the end of 2011 due to the financial crisis and, with no extra grid slots apparently being made available, could link-up with not only de Puniet but also Aspar.
