Bautista out to shine at Gresini's home race

'It will be important to stay focused and do a good job from the first minute to the last to make sure that we bury the memory of a bad weekend last year' - Alvaro Bautista
Gresini Honda's Alvaro Bautista says maximum concentration is pivotal at Mugello in Italy as he bids to secure a positive result at his team's home MotoGP race.

Fausto Gresini's team headquarters are located close to the spectacular circuit and Bautista, who accused Casey Stoner of dangerous riding after the pair made heavy contact at Mugello last year, is determined to put on a good show this weekend.

“We had a really good feeling for the bike at Le Mans even though the conditions were particularly difficult in the race,” said Bautista, who finished sixth in France.

“This year we found a good feeling and were setting lap times in line with the guys who finished on the podium and even though I am still having some problems getting the bike out of the corners we are making good progress with the bike in general.

“Mugello is a completely different circuit to Le Mans,” he added.

“It is technical, fast, with various changes in direction and elevation.

“It will be important to stay focused and do a good job from the first minute to the last to make sure that we bury the memory of a bad weekend last year.

“I am determined to get a good result and I know this is a special Grand Prix for the team because it is their home race.”

Bautista is not, never been and never pretended to be an alien. So calm the F down would you. Honda didn't re-sign him for 2 years just for his blue eyes. Alvaro's doing a fine job at developing those suspensions and he'll get stronger as the season goes on, as usual. Ps: Enjoy your pathetic lives haters, Bautista is living his dream at least.
