German MotoGP: Rossi: Good relationship with Lorenzo

While the injured Lorenzo faces another physical battle this weekend, Rossi's main aim is to confirm that the settings discovered at the Aragon test - then used with such success at Assen - will again allow him to be a victory contender.

“Assen was a great weekend. I could stay with the top guys in all the practice, wet or dry, and the race was fantastic. Here will be important to confirm that I've increased my speed and can fight with the top guys,” he said.

“We wait for tomorrow [Friday] to understand if we are on the right way.”

Asked about the reaction to his long awaited victory from his legions of worldwide fans, Rossi responded:

“It's great. I'm very happy because I have a lot of fans around the world, a lot of fans also because I have a long career, good battles, good victories. To take the victory in Assen after a long, long time was so positive.”

@ Dr Thompson People seem to forget the real reason #46 was so pissed off with Yamaha. It was them asking him, after 4 world titles for them, claiming poverty and asking him to take a pay cut, then finding out the money they cut was given to Jorge. Nothing against Jorge (he's ace) but that had to sting hard - what would you do at work in similar situation? Go #46!
