Moto2: Main straight scare in morning warm-up

14 July 2013

The Moto2 warm-up session at the Sachsenring was stopped with just two minutes to go after a big scare on the main straight.

Randy Krummenacher clipped the back of wild-card Alex MariƱelarena, throwing the Swiss from his Suter. Krummenacher then slid along on his stomach, while his riderless bike slammed into the pit wall before coming to a rest in the centre of the track.

Krummenacher was clearly shaken when he arrived back at the pits, but appears unhurt. MariƱelarena remained on his bike.

Shortly after the restart Ratthapark Wilairot highsided from his Gresini Suter, which then rolled over him as he slid into the gravel. The Thai rider eventually returned on the back of a scooter.
