Shortly after claiming his first MotoGP podium, from his first pole, in Sunday's US Grand Prix, Stefan Bradl confirmed that his 2014 Honda LCR future is still not secure.
Bradl, who led for 18 of the 32 laps before being overtaken by championship leader Marc Marquez, said:
"At the moment I have no contract for next year, no option for next year.
"So I just need to push my maximum and we will see what happens in the near future. But I'm not too worried for next year. I think I deserve a place in MotoGP.”
Last November, at the end of his rookie MotoGP season, it was announced that the young German had signed a contract extension with Honda. "I am happy to continue with Lucio's Team and HRC for the next two years!" the former Moto2 champion was quoted as saying.

, as published on the LCR website, the title of which could not be clearer: 'HRC and LCR Team with Stefan Bradl in 2014'
However it now seems that Honda must give the final word for next season and, with the likes of Cal Crutchlow still available, are yet to make their decision.
Bradl is sixth in the world championship, 32 points and one place behind top satellite team rider Crutchlow (Tech 3 Yamaha) who has taken four podiums this year.
