British MotoGP fans have just over a month to finalise their Silverstone plans.

2013 is proving to be a golden year for British motorcycle grand prix riders, with Cal Crutchlow a regular podium contender in the premier MotoGP class and Scott Redding on top of the world in Moto2.

And after battling for glory in faraway circuits, Crutchlow, Redding and the other home riders can be sure of a raucous reception when they take to the track at Silverstone from August 30-Septmber 1.

Four podiums to date make Crutchlow easily the most successful British rider of the four-stroke MotoGP era. Cruelly denied the chance to ride in his home race in 2011, the Englishman was again injured in practice last season - then sensationally returned to steal the show by charging from last to sixth in the race.

Crutchlow will be battling for his first ever British MotoGP rostrum during the September race - and the first by a UK rider at home since Jeremy McWilliams in 2000. It will be no easy task, with Marc Marquez, Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo continuing their intense title fight, and MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi back on race-winning form.

Meanwhile, Marc VDS star Redding already has an enviable home record. The Gloucestershire rider took his only 125cc win, as a rookie, in the 2008 British race (at Donington) and stood on the home podium again in 2009 (125cc) and 2012 (Moto2). Like Crutchlow, Redding has reached new grand prix heights this season, winning his first Moto2 races in addition to the world championship lead.

Soaking up the home support on their MotoGP class Silverstone debuts will be Crutchlow's Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team-mate Bradley Smith and Michael Laverty, of the British-based PBM team.

Smith will be aiming to beat a best-yet sixth place on the M1, having climbed the home podium twice in Moto2, while CRT rider Laverty will have his sights set firmly on further points with PBM's own motorcycle.

Joining Redding on the Moto2 grid will be rookie countrymen Danny Kent and Kyle Smith, with Danny Webb and John McPhee flying the flag in the Moto3 categories - with home wild-card entries set to boost British numbers even further.
