Czech MotoGP: Pedrosa steps up in tight Brno warm-up

Dani Pedrosa fastest during warm-up for the Czech Republic MotoGP at Brno, top four covered by 0.125s!
Defending Brno MotoGP winner Dani Pedrosa led an ultra-close morning warm-up session for this afternoon's Czech Republic round.

It was the first time since Catalunya, five rounds ago ad before Pedrosa's Sacsenring collarbone injury, that the title contender had topped a MotoGP track session.

Pedrosa was just 0.003s quicker than Repsol Honda team-mate and rookie title leader Marc Marquez, with the Factory Yamahas of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo all within 0.125s of the top!

Pole sitter Cal Crutchlow was 0.259s behind for Monster Yamaha Tech 3, with LCR Honda's Stefan Bradl and Tech 3's Bradley Smith also within half-a-second of Pedrosa - around the near two-minute lap.

Factory Ducati riders Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso were ninth and tenth, but with almost one-second between them.

Gresini Honda's Alvaro Bautista completed the top eight. Crutchlow, Bautista and Marquez will form the front row of this afternoon's grid, with Pedrosa, Lorenzo and Smith on row two, while Rossi heads row three.

All eyes are now on the weather, with rain a distinct possibility from the overcast skies.

Marquez, winner of the last three races, will start round eleven of 18 with a 21-point advantage over Pedrosa and 35 point lead over Lorenzo.

To avoid a clash with the Belgian F1 Grand Prix, Moto2 will be the first race of the day, followed by MotoGP and then Moto3.

I think Bautista will play an important roll in Bruno no matter if it shines or rains. How well or quick one can overpass him and chase for the leader group, that'll decide everything.

It's the cool down lap as I type this. See my post above? Now how could I possibly predict that eh? Well - it's cos MotoGP is predictable that's why. I could almost have a copy of of the script eh? Honda will dominate (even if there is some sandbagging to try to disguise this) the rest of be season and MM can get the WC T-shirts printed now with confidence.
