Pedrosa: I hope we can take another step

27 August 2013

Dani Pedrosa is looking towards this weekend's British MotoGP at Silverstone with renewed optimism following a strong ride to second place at Brno.

Pedrosa, who trails his Repsol Honda team-mate Marc Marquez by 26 points at the top of the championship, pushed the young Spaniard hard in the closing stages of the race in the Czech Republic and has growing confidence in his physical condition after recovering from a broken collarbone.

“After Brno I'm feeling pretty good and my physical condition is improving all the time, so I hope we can take another step this weekend in Silverstone,” he said.

“It is a tough and fast track with many changes of direction and we need a good set to suit both the fast and slow corners.

“Last year was a hard race so I hope to be strong again this year,” added Pedrosa, who hasn't won since Le Mans in May.

“In the UK you never know what the weather will do so let's hope for good conditions from the start.”
