Latest Stoner test wiped out by bad weather

Former MotoGP star Casey Stoner's latest test with Honda thwarted by wet conditions at Motegi
Double MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner's latest two-day testing programme for HRC at Motegi was washed out by wet weather.

The former Repsol Honda star is scheduled to test again on October 2-3.

Stoner carried out some development work on the 2014 RC213V at the previous test and had been due to try Honda's new Production Racer this week, which Scott Redding will ride next year for Gresini.

In August, Stoner completed 47 laps in the dry at Motegi after rain hindered day one, testing the factory and privateer versions of the RCV before switching to the 2014 prototype.

No times were released by Honda and Stoner moved to dismiss speculation last month that he could make a wildcard appearance in MotoGP before the end of the season, saying: “It felt really good to get back on the bike after nine months and I'm happy with how the test went, but it doesn't change my mind about the wild-cards - this is not something I am planning to do.”

The HRC test team has remained at Motegi to continue testing in the wet with Takumi Takahashi.

Stoner has a total of four tests planned at Motegi, with two now remaining.

Poor Nakamoto does everything he can to put Stoner back on the bike (we know he likes him even better than Marquez- try to find and check out one of his interviews: "Marquez extremely talented but not a genius like Stoner").
