San Marino Moto3: Gresini announce Antonelli, Isaac Vinales for 2014

The GO&FUN Gresini Moto3 has signed Isaac Vinales, cousin of Maverick, to partner the retained Niccolò Antonelli for the 2014 season.

The line-up was announce during this weekend's Misano round.

“We have put together a new line-up of two promising youngsters with Niccolò, who has been with us for two years already, and Isaac Viñales in the belief that they can both be serious contenders in the Moto3 class in 2014,” said team principal Fausto Gresini.

Gresini currently runs Antonelli alongside fellow Italian Lorenzo Baldassarri on FTR Honda machinery, while Vinales rides the same package for the Ongetta-Centro Seta squad.

Vinales is 16th and Antonelli 17th in the KTM dominated championship, with rookie Baldassarri yet to score. There is speculation that Gresini, which runs riders in all three grand prix classes, may switch from FTR Honda machinery for 2014.
