Moto2 World Championship leader Scott Redding has undergone an operation in Barcelona to alleviate muscle stiffness and pain in his right forearm.

The Marc VDS Racing Team ride had the surgery at the Quiron Dexeus University Hospital.

Redding, who holds a lead of 23 points at the top of the championship over Pol Espargaro, experienced the condition, known as 'compartment syndrome', at Misano last weekend.
