Jorge Lorenzo's next MotoGP victory will be his 50th in grand prix racing, making him only the seventh rider in history to reach that milestone.

If Lorenzo, the reigning double MotoGP champion and winner of five races so far this season, takes his next win during 2013 he will become the third youngest rider to reach 50 wins, after team-mate Valentino Rossi and the late great Mike Hailwood.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo's win at Misano was the 69th time he has stood on the podium in the MotoGP class, which is the same number of premier-class podiums achieved by Casey Stoner.
