Repsol Honda's Dani Pedrosa held station from FP1 at Aragon to finish the second free practice session in third position to complete a 1-2-3 for Honda.

Pedrosa's best lap of 1m 49.254s put him behind team-mate and MotoGP championship leader Marc Marquez and Stefan Bradl on the LCR Honda, 0.267s off the top time set by the young rookie.

The 27-year-old, who is joint second in the series standings with Jorge Lorenzo - 34 points behind Marquez with five races remaining - had few complaints after the opening day at the Spanish venue.

"I'm happy, because today I felt comfortable on track, we put in some good laps and improved our feeling a lot," said Pedrosa.

"We were only lacking a test run with the hard rear tyre, so tomorrow we will work on that to see which compound we go with in the end.

"We hope to get a bit further along with our preparations for the race."

Pedrosa's time was 0.151s quicker than Lorenzo managed on the Factory Yamaha M1 in fourth position.
