Pedrosa fortunately escaped serious injury, but his slim 2013 MotoGP title hopes have all but disappeared.

After running wide in the incident, rookie Marquez caught and passed Jorge Lorenzo for victory. Marquez thus extended his title lead to 34 points over Lorenzo and a massive 59 over the unfortunate Pedrosa, with just four races remaining.

Race Direction are investigating the incident, but it is not clear when they will announce their decision.

JimmyTheRealOne - That's not actually a fair or correct assessment. If you gave Dani a bike with no electronics he could ride it well. That is totally different then riding a bike and having the electronics switched off in the middle of a corner. Completely different situation.

Always the bridesmaid never the bride. If this boy didn't have bad luck then he'd have no luck at all, I really feel for Dani. I can't see that it was entirely Marcs fault but honestly they are supposed to be both on the same team, I expect Mr Honda may be having words.
