According to the official MotoGP website, Marc Marquez and Repsol Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa will be summoned by Race Direction for a hearing in Sepang 'to technically analyse the Aragon race incident'.

Pedrosa fell heavily from second position (pictured) after light contact from rookie title leader Marquez broke a rear wheel speed sensor, disabling Pedrosa's traction control.

Race Direction announced an investigation shortly after the conclusion of the grand prix.

The Malaysian round, the first of three successive flyaway events, takes place from October 11-13.

After winning the Aragon race, Marquez holds a 39-point advantage over Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo with Pedrosa having slipped 59 points from the top with four rounds remaining.

Although criticised by some fellow riders for his attacking style, Marquez's only official sanction this season has been to receive two of the new Penalty Points for not responding to waved yellow flags (which Marquez said he didn't see) in the Silverstone warm-up. Two more Penalty Points would mean a back of the grid start.
