Marc Marquez's biggest MotoGP rivals have admitted the rookie world champion's weak points are few and far between after he secured the title in Valencia.

Marquez has come in for criticism from Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo and his Repsol Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa for his aggression this season, but the pair tipped their hats to the young star following the conclusion of the 2013 championship in Spain.

"The strong point for Marc I think is his talent and ambition. He is very ambitious and always wants to be in front so you can never relax," said Lorenzo, who missed out on successfully retaining the title by four points after his eighth victory of the season in Valencia.

"The weak points, not so many and very small, but probably relative to me he has a different style - I am more precise and constant, he is less precise."

Pedrosa, meanwhile, said Marquez's 'will and determination' had proved a winning combination in his maiden year in the premier class.

"I think pretty much the same. The will together with the talent is a good weapon for MotoGP. He showed very well at every race. But of course he rides on the limit," he said.

"He seems like he is crashing all the time! But he isn't. He controls this limit. A weak point I think is experience. That's pretty much it."

Pedrosa, who saw his own chance of the title slip away at tge penultimate round, added:

"The good moments are when you win and bad ones when you crash. For me the hardest one was in Aragon, obviously not my mistake, but another moment that was my mistake as Sachsenring when I broke the collarbone.

"Congratulations to Marc and Jorge. It was very exciting. All three of us have over 300 points is quite impressive. Normally it is not that tight. I think we all did a good season."
