Alvaro Bautista's plans to spend the final day of the Valencia MotoGP test evaluating the new Honda prototype were thrown into disarray following a spill at the beginning of his second run.

The Gresini rider was forced to switch back to the 2013 bike and instead concentrated on developing a new Showa suspension package.

Bautista, fifth fastest on Wednesday with a time of 1m 31.229s, said: "We were supposed to spend the whole day working on the 2014 bike but unfortunately on my second run I lost the front without warning and crashed.
