Moto3: Calvo says ‘nothing signed’ with Isaac Vinales

“We can assure you that nothing is signed”
Team Calvo has played down reports that Isaac Vinales, cousin of Calvo's 2013 Moto3 world champion Maverick, is to join its team rather than Gresini.

“We can assure you that nothing is signed” said a post on the team's Twitter page.

Both Calvo and Gresini will run KTM machinery next year and the motive behind the possible switch is not clear, but it would be especially bad news for girl racer Ana Carrasco.

With Jakub Kornfeil already been signed to replace Maverick, moving to Moto2 with Pons, Isaac's arrival would be at the expense of Carrasco.

Carrasco, who claimed eighth place in the final round of her rookie season at Valencia, was not listed on the recent provisional entry list with the second Calvo seat still 'To Be Confirmed'.

Likewise Isaac Vinales - announced as a 2014 Gresini rider in September, alongside Niccolò Antonelli - was ominously missing from the list.

Team Calvo or Gresini, Isaac Vinales will have a better place next year than this one. What I don't understand is the signing of Jakub Kornfeil. He is always signed by the best teams, this year he got the bike of Salom, 2nd in 2012, next year he will have the bike of Vinales, world champion. Only problem that he hasn't showed much yet.
