Ducati's hopes of getting an edge on its rivals ahead of the second MotoGP World Championship round in Austin received a set-back after its two-day test in Jerez was washed out by poor weather.

Andrea Dovizioso and Cal Crutchlow were present at the Spanish circuit, but after part of the first day shooting a promotional video, neither was able to record significant lap times due to changeable weather conditions that never allowed the circuit to fully dry.

Despite this, the pair - who finished fifth and sixth respectively during the season opener in Qatar -were able to confirm to Borgo Panigale engineers that the "full-factory" electronics fitted to their Desmosedici GP14 machines after the Qatar GP were working correctly.

The second round of the 2014 MotoGP season will take place at the Circuit of the Americas, in Austin, Texas.
