Argentina MotoGP: Pol Espargaro 'Equal playing field'

"It will be an equal playing field for all of the riders" - Pol Espargaro.
After finishing pre-season testing with a broken collarbone, then being forced out of his first MotoGP race by a gearbox problem, Pol Espargaro took his first premier-class points with a strong sixth in Texas.

The reigning Moto2 champion will now get the chance of a rare 'equal playing field' relative to the more experienced riders in this weekend's debut event at Argentina's Termas de Rio Hondo circuit.

"To discover a new race track is always very fascinating and I'm convinced that this event will be a very stimulating one,” said the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider. “It will be an equal playing field for all of the riders. The layout looks really interesting, with lots of fast flowing corners, and I cannot wait to start riding on Friday.

“Especially after the good result in Texas, where I not only scored my first MotoGP points, but also finished sixth and as the second Yamaha behind my team-mate, I'm really optimistic for this race. My pace over race distance was positive, and I feel more content about the feeling with my Yamaha.”
