Spain MotoGP: Bautista seeking first finish of season

Alvaro Bautista is desperate to turn his disastrous start to the 2014 MotoGP season around by just getting to the finish at Jerez.
Alvaro Bautista says he is determined to 'reverse the trend' of his 2014 MotoGP World Championship season thus far after a disastrous start to his year that has left him with not a single point to his name.

The Go&Fun Gresini Honda rider came into the year having shown impressive pace during pre-season testing, but retirements in the opening three events – including a first lap fall in Argentina – have left him pointless heading to Europe.

Eager to kick-start his 2014 campaign with a strong finish in his home Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez, Bautista is desperate for better fortune.

“I really hope that the first European race can finally put an end to this bad period: the only thing we can do right now is to continue to believe in ourselves and work hard, like we have done so far, in order to try to reverse the trend.”
