Nico Terol will miss the fourth round of the 2014 Moto2 World Championship in Jerez after picking up injuries in an accident during Friday practice.

The former 125GP world champion suffered a heavy fall during FP2 and though a trip to hospital confirmed no broken bones, Mapfre Aspar rider Terol would go on to miss qualifying and has now been ruled out of the race.

The three-time Moto2 race winner has endured a difficult start to his third season in the Moto2 category, retiring from the first two races and only picking up his first points in Argentina with a 14th place finish.
