Stefan Bradl was left with a sense of disappointment after a change in morning warm-up adversely affected his LCR Honda in the French MotoGP at Le Mans.

Bradl finished in seventh place and was left to rue a suspension tweak that left him struggling for rear grip.

"Honestly I am not so happy today because the seventh position is not what we expected," Bradl said.

"Our main problem today was that we made a little change on the rear suspension from warm-up for the race to try to find some more rear grip, but unfortunately it went completely in the other direction.

"We were losing too much time on the exit of the corner and I was not able to close in the slipstream and I was losing too much on the straight.

"We tried to recover on the brakes to regain something but then I arrived at some limits and [Aleix] and Alvaro [Bautista] passed me and I had to bring home seventh position; it was a disappointing race for us," he added.

"I'm really looing forward to Mugello because it's a nice circuit and we've had some good results there in the past. I hope that we will do a better result there because we've been doing good during the weekend, but we missed a little bit in the race and we have to try to find some better results."

Bradl is sixth in the world championship standings after the first five rounds, six points adrift of Jorge Lorenzo.
