Dani Pedrosa is setting his sights on improving his performance in qualifying as he looks to break Repsol Honda team-mate Marc Marquez's streak of MotoGP wins in Mugello.

The Spaniard, who finished fifth last time out at Le Mans after persistent grip issues, has struggled more than usual in qualifying this year with a 6-2-3-3-9 tally of grid positions so far, particularly when compared with his five-time pole-winning team-mate Marquez.

Nonetheless, as a former winner of the Grand Prix of Italy, back in 2010, Pedrosa is hoping improvements on the Saturday will see him pose a greater threat to his all-conquering come Sunday.
