Danilo Petrucci will not ride in his home Grand Prix of Italy after being declared unfit to ride in Mugello.

The IodaRacing rider had intended to return to MotoGP action this weekend after fracturing his wrist in an accident at Jerez - an injury that kept both himself and the team out of the following Le Mans event too -, but a pre-weekend medical would see him disallowed to compete by doctors.

A third consecutive race on the sidelines for IodaRacing, who intended to run Luca Scassa in Le Mans before he also suffered an injury during testing, Petrucci will aim to return in round seven at the Circuit de Catalunya.
