Jorge Lorenzo says he is feeling stronger and better physically on the factory Movistar Yamaha after a solid opening to his Grand Prix of Italy defence at Mugello.

Winner of the last three GP events to be held around the Italian circuit, Lorenzo is hoping his strong legacy there will help him get his torrid 2014 season back on track.

Indeed, though a damp afternoon session to limit his track time over the course of the day, Lorenzo was encouraged by his initial pace, which was good enough for the fifth best time in the dry FP1 session.
