Alex Marquez spent a precautionary night in hospital after a Moto3 testing accident at Mugello on Tuesday.

The Honda rider, younger brother of MotoGP champion Marc, had been fortunate to avoid injury when he fell in the multi-rider accident triggered by Jack Miller on the final lap of Sunday's race.

Returning for the Tuesday test, Marquez lost control during the second session and was taken to hospital. Doctors ruled out any injury, but decided to keep him under observation overnight.
