Dutch MotoGP: Rossi returns to scene of winning joy

Valentino Rossi heads to Assen eager to maintain his strong start to the 2014 MotoGP season around the circuit he was victorious at last season
Valentino Rossi heads to the eighth round of the 2014 MotoGP World Championship looking to repeat some history on the Dutch TT after returning to winning ways in Assen last year.

A triumphant re-entry into the winners' circle for the multiple GP champion, Rossi's commanding victory in 2013 was his first since the 2010 MotoGP season and his first since his return to Yamaha.

Though it remains his sole win since his switch back from Ducati, Rossi is nonetheless enjoying his most competitive season for several years of late and comes to the Netherlands looking to extend the form that has seen on the podium in all but two races

“Assen is a great track and a good track for Yamaha. The weather will be very important here. You never know if it will be hot or cold or dry or wet. Last year's race was unforgettable but honestly this year I feel I am strong almost everywhere so we have to try hard to beat the competition.”

this time it's even tough compared to last year bcoz MM has 1 year experience & rossi is much more stronger than in 2013 and so pedrosa & Lorenzo. so fact is assen is completely different circuit compared to others, so I hope the results will also differ a lot. my bet as always on rossi & this time I hope marc won't win... go valentine go...
