Yonny Hernandez is in his third MotoGP season, having raced for Avintia and PBM before moving to Pramac Ducati from last year's Aragon Grand Prix.
Although riding a GP13 spec machine, rather than the GP14 of team-mate Andrea Iannone and factory team riders Cal Crutchlow and Andrea Dovizioso, the Columbian has done a solid job, finishing every race.
Hernandez has been in the points at all but two of those nine race, including a best of tenth at Mugello, and confirmed that his sole focus is on remaining at Pramac for 2015: "At the moment I'm in negotiations with Pramac Ducati and I want to stay here.”
Hernandez was speaking after a 17th place in the Sunday's wet-dry German round at Sachsenring.
Starting the race from the pit lane Hernandez struggled from the off and was forced to battle with the Open Honda and CRT bikes throughout the 30 lap distance.
At the end of the race a disappointed Hernandez admitted that he was unable to find any comfort or consistency in the conditions:
"It was a really difficult race with the conditions and I didn't have a good feeling. I was on the limit on every lap and I made very slow lap times. It's a race where we didn't score any points and it wasn't a good race because I had no rhythm with the bike through the race. It was so difficult to ride this bike in these conditions."
Team-mate Iannone, tipped to join the factory Ducati team next season, finished as the top Desmosedici in fifth.
