Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) has announced it is increasing its partnership with Red Bull, with logos to appear on its factory machines in 2015 and 2016.

The Austrian-based energy drink company has been involved with HRC and the Repsol Honda team and riders for nine years, beginning in 2006 with Nicky Hayden and Dani Pedrosa.

However, for 2015 and 2016, the recognisable Red Bull logo will now appear on the bikes themselves for the first time, alongside title sponsor Repsol.

"We are delighted to have the opportunity to grow our partnership with Red Bull," said HRC Executive Vice President Shuhei Nakamoto. "It is an iconic global brand with whom we've worked alongside for nine years, so this was the logical next step.

"I'm sure that this new partnership will increase our visibility, not only as Honda, but also MotoGP on a whole to a wider global audience, which can only be good for the sport"

Since the collaboration began the Repsol Honda Team and Red Bull have celebrated a total of 58 wins, 172 podiums, 63 pole positions, 73 fastest laps, three rider's World Championships and four Constructor's Championships.
