MotoGP Czech Republic: Modest Brno expectations for in-form Redding

Following his top ten finish at Indianapolis, Scott Redding heads to Brno looking to continue his progress on the 'Open' Gresini Honda.
Fresh from scoring the first Open class win of his rookie MotoGP World Championship season at Indianapolis, Scott Redding is looking to continue his strong run of form just days later at Brno.

Crossing the line ninth in the United States after a spirited battle with countryman Cal Crutchlow on the factory Ducati, Redding has now notched up points' scoring finishes in nine of the ten races so far this year and is the best of the production Hondas.

Heading to Brno for the Czech Republic Grand Prix, though Redding is cool on his expectations around a circuit he admits 'isn't a favourite', he remains certain he can continue his impressive progress.

“Brno is not one of my favourite circuits, however with this bike my riding style is different compared to the past and therefore it suits a lot of tracks. In fact, I've never loved Sachsenring, but this year I was fast there.

“We just need to see the conditions once we get there, and then try to replicate the good job done in Indianapolis, maybe taking another step forward and trying to close the gap to some Factory guys.

“It's going to be hard because like I said Brno is not one of my favourite circuits but now I have a strong motivation because I know that I'm growing step by step, so I want to keep this rhythm and keep learning.”

Apart from the obvious distraction of - what's an "Open class win"? The fact is that Scott has done a lot right so far this year. The proddy Honda is not a top ride, but Scott has pushed it to the limit. He deserves a shot on something much more competitive. I look forward to seeing how this pans out. Good luck, Scott. You've earned it.

TrueFan If he keep doing is job he will be reward... Scoot has been more quiet now and he is focus on what he whant!! 4sure is not an Happy situacion when one runner up in Moto2 has to worck one year in one bike that clearly have a diferente target i say the same for Oliveira in Moto3 but at least this is Scoot First sesson in Motogp wille Oliveira allready had experience in Moto3 just need the BIKE, For Scoot having a slower bike is not that bad to learn, thats why some people say that Miller will go to LCR but will have an open bike, anyway If Scoot keep worcking like this he will get one Factory Honda bike just like i bealive Oliveira will find a better deal for 2015... They just have to respect there targets doing there best and keep Focus..
