An extension of his stand-in role at the Aspar team means Leon Camier will make his home British MotoGP debut this weekend at Silverstone.

Continuing to replace the injured Nicky Hayden, Camier has impressed in his two previous appearances, culminating in a world championship point at Brno.

A post-race test then allowed Camier to complete his first MotoGP laps outside of a race weekend and he responded with a best time just 0.4s behind top Open Honda rider Scott Redding.

I know it will be another tough weekend though so it will be important to stay focused. It is a dream come true for me to race a MotoGP bike in front of the British fans.
