MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez is not planning a switch to F1.

Some radio reports had suggested the young Spaniard was interested in changing from two to four wheels, but it seems they misunderstood Marquez's intentions.

"They get confused! I don't know why," said Marquez at Silverstone on Thursday.

"They asked me if I want to try a Formula One [car] and I said 'one day, why not? The experience would be nice, but in the future'. But they say I want to move to Formula One!

"Stop the questions! My world is here in MotoGP."

John Surtees remains the only person to win grand prix world titles on both two and four wheels.

Marquez has lost just one race heading into this weekend's twelfth round.
