Marc Marquez continued his domination of the British MotoGP weekend with pole position at Silverstone on Saturday.

The reigning world champion, beaten for the first time this year at Brno, finished the 15-minute Qualifying 2 pole positon shootout 0.311s clear of Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso.

Jorge Lorenzo was a further 0.035s behind to make it three different manufacturers on the front row, the Movistar Yamaha rider having mounted an effective comeback after struggling to adapt to the tyres on day one.

Row two will be formed by Open class star Aleix Espargaro (Forward Yamaha), Marquez's Repsol Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa and Lorenzo's team-mate Valentino Rossi.
