If Scott Redding already knows his 2015 MotoGP destination he is remaining tight lipped.

The young Englishman is in need of a new team to achieve his Factory class Honda ambitions, with Gresini on the verge of switching to Aprilia.

Marc VDS and Aspar lead the list of candidates trying to take over the Gresini RC213V, for which Redding is HRC's clear choice of rider.

However as of Thursday at Misano no deals have yet been announced and Pramac Ducati is also reported to be interested in the MotoGP rookie, who heads the Open class Honda challenge and has been ahead of some Factory riders in recent events.

"It would be nice to get the bike underneath me to fight with these [Factory] guys. We need to see. At the moment there's a lot of talking and I just need to make the right decision for my future," Redding said.

"I'm young and trying to build up my career. So it's a big decision for me at the moment and we'll see in the next few weeks what the answer is."

While the near future continues to be unclear, Redding knows exactly where he wants to be in several years. "With this guy in the orange," he stated, referring to Repsol Honda's world champion Marc Marquez.

If reaching Repsol Honda is Redding's ultimate goal then a move to Ducati or Aprilia is unlikely. Redding's current contract with Gresini should have seen him take over the team's RC213V, currently ridden by Alvaro Bautista, in 2015.

Speaking about adapting to MotoGP this year, the reigning Moto2 title runner up stated that the main surprise was: "Just finding the limit - there is no limit! Always more and more. I'm trying to build up but I'm still not there."

Scott has always been pretty clear on this.
He has the factory RC213V in his pocket and he will follow that bike to wherever it happens to end up.
Ducati & Aprilia are a no no.
