Aprilia is sending two more engineers to try and help Danilo Petrucci and the Octo Iodaracing Team improve the ART's performance at their home San Marino MotoGP.

"After the tests before Silverstone, Aprilia has decided to send two extra engineers for this race," said Petrucci. "Throughout the season we had problems adapting the bike to the new Marelli control [ECU] and for this reason Paolo Blasio and Paolo Bonora will be in my pit box.

"The first one has already worked with me last year and is now the crew chief of Marco Melandri in Superbike. The help from these two engineers will be very important because from here we will try to create a new base - working to finish the in the best way possible our season, which until now not brought us many satisfactions."
