With team-mate and Moto2 title leader Esteve Rabat remaining at Marc VDS and Moto3 star Alex Marquez signed for the second seat, Mika Kallio's 2015 plans remain unclear.

After qualifying on pole position at Misano on Saturday, the Finn stated: "At the moment I don't know what will happen, but I always said when I came back to Moto2 that I would like to return to MotoGP one day.

"Let's see for next year if there is a chance, but I would want to go to something competitive. I don't want to race for 15th or 20th. I need to see what I can do, if not then obviously I will stay in Moto2 next year."
