MotoGP champion Marc Marquez will not win his 12th race of the season at Misano after falling from second place behind Valentino Rossi.

Marquez, beaten just once this year, had been trying to keep pace with Rossi when he suffered a lowside fall and struggled to restart the bike, rejoining last.

The mistake means that Marquez is unlikely to wrap-up his second MotoGP title next time at Aragon.
