Former Gresini Moto2 rider Lorenzo Baldassarri made his Forward Racing debut in last week's Jerez test.

But that doesn't necessarily mean Baldassarri will be Simone Corsi's team-mate in 2015.

With Corsi injured and its second rider 'still to be announced', Forward called up Baldassarri for the three day test but made clear "it is still not decided who will race alongside Simone Corsi next year."

Baldassarri, who finished his rookie Moto2 season 20th overall on the Gresini Suter, was seventh fastest during the driest day of testing.

"I'm satisfied with these three days of testing," the young Italian declared. "Due to the rain and the bad weather we couldn't take fully advantage of this test session but all in all I'm happy.

"Since the beginning I was comfortable with the Kalex and I could push looking for a good result. It was a very good experience and I leave Jerez within the Top 10. The feeling with the bike is really good and also on the wet I have a good feedback.

"I'd like to thank the NGM Forward Racing Team for this great opportunity."

Gresini is yet to confirm if it will run a second bike alongside the retained Xavier Simeon, with Baldassarri likewise absent from the provisional 2015 entry list.

Mattia Pasini rode alongside Corsi this season and is also presently unsigned.
