Brno leads MotoGP attendance with 240,695 fans

Brno, Jerez and Sachsenring the most popular 2014 MotoGP events by attendance.
A weekend crowd of 240,695 fans made the Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno the most well attended event of the 2014 season.

Jerez in Spain and the Sachsenring in Germany also topped the 200,000 weekend mark, while 14 of the 18 rounds pulled in 100,000 plus spectators.

At the opposite end of the scale, the season-opening Qatar night race continues to attract the lowest amount of trackside fans at just 17,890. The next least attended was the Japanese round at Motegi, with 70,271.

Total attendance at all 2014 grands prix was 2,473,624, compared with 2,433,763 in 2013.

And the Brno event was under threat of not having the contract renewed. It would be an utter mistake to stop them going to Brno. One of the favourite tracks amongst the riders and fans. There's always great battles in all classes at Brno! Best kept on the calender!

Less than 18k over the 4 days at Apart from the novelty of a night race and the huge amounts of cash Dorna likely gets, there's little else Losail has going for it.
