Valentino Rossi will keep up his tradition of competing in the annual end-of-season Monza Rally, where he will be looking to reclaim his title against a number of high profile drivers and riders.

A three-time winner of the popular event, which traditionally brings together a number of impressive names from across the racing discipline, Rossi lost out to Dani Sordo in 2013, but has won it as recently as 2012.

Set to drive a Ford Fiesta RS WRC once again, Rossi will be going up against the likes of former F1 driver-turned-rally driver Robert Kubica, NASCAR ace Kurt Busch and the ever-popular Ken Block.

He will also be rivalled by motocross star Tony Cairoli, as well as a number of local racing stars, including former WRC driver Gigi Galli, WTCC racer winner Stefano d'Aste and Audi's Le Mans front runner Marco Bonanomi.

Rossi has the chance to become the most successful Monza Rally participant of all-time in 2014. As it stands, Rossi sits second on the all-time list of wins and podiums (three and nine), just behind RInaldo Capello. If Rossi wins this event, he will surpass his fellow Italian, whom he beat to the title in 2012.
