Monster Yamaha Tech3 MotoGP star Pol Espargaro and team boss Herve Poncharal attended the Yamaha Asean Cup Race (YACR) at the Sentul Circuit in Indonesia last weekend.

The YACR event features riders from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Myanmar and India all competing on Yamaha motorcycles. 2014 MotoGP rookie of the year Espargaro's activities included attending the press conference and opening ceremony in front of 60,000 people, plus media and TV work.

"I am very pleased to have visited the Sentul circuit last weekend where I saw some great racing and met the brilliant Indonesian crowd who are so passionate about motorcycles," said Espargaro. "It would be a dream to have a MotoGP race here in the future... I also want to say 'Terima Kasih' to Yamaha Indonesia, Sakura and all of the Indonesian fans whose support means a lot to me!"

Factory Yamaha MotoGP star Jorge Lorenzo was also present for PR duties in Indonesia, which is one of the most important motorcycle markets in the world.
