A late spin deprived Jorge Lorenzo of reaching the chequered flag in the Gulf 12 Hours sports car race at Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina circuit.

But the double MotoGP champion and Kessel Racing co-drivers Liam Talbot, Marco Zanuttini and Jacques Duyver had nonetheless completed enough laps to be credited with 18th overall and victory in the Gentleman class.

Their only class rivals (and fellow Ferrari 458 team) Villorba Corse recorded 11 laps less by the completion of the pair of six-hour races.
