Yonny Hernandez to miss Sepang MotoGP test

Shoulder injury forces Yonny Hernandez to miss opening 2015 MotoGP test, at Sepang from February 4-7.
Yonny Hernandez has been ruled out of the opening 2015 MotoGP test at Sepang after dislocating his left shoulder in a dirt track training accident.

The Colombian, upgraded to Ducati GP14.2 machinery for his second full season at the satellite Pramac team, will need three weeks to recover and is therefore targeting the second Malaysian test from February 23-26.

Ducati development rider Michele Pirro will replace Hernandez at Sepang I.

The third and final official pre-season test takes place in Qatar from March 14-17.

A shame for Hernandez. I guess it shows though just how hard these racersY push every day to try and keep their skills and reaction times as sharp as they can be. That means high risks of offs, and high risk of injury. Its a fine line they walk between honing their edge to 100% razor sharp, and de-tuning themselves with a fall. I wish him a speedy recovery - he is one of the bits of interest for me in 2015 (Its all about individual non Factory H & Y riders and how they fare for me, as the main so-called contest is a pointless pantomime).
