Forward Racing MotoGP riders Stefan Bradl and Loris Baz have spent their last weekend before the Sepang test on ice.

The pair, plus Forward's Moto2 riders Simone Corsi and Lorenzo Baldassarri, raced quads and rally cars during two days at Livigno.

"Driving on ice is a great experience! The ice is so slippery!" said Bradl. "I like the winter time a lot - I enjoy the snow, skiing. Being in Livigno with all my team-mates was great we have created a great atmosphere."

Baz added: "I like riding on ice. It's fun! I was born in a mountainous region of France - similar to Livigno. My first time on the quad on ice was when I was two years old! I love winter and I usually spend all winter on my snow mobile and on an ice bike that my father built for me. It was great to be here with Stefan and all the other guys in the team."

Looking ahead to Sepang and the 2015 racing season, former LCR Honda rider Bradl has clear goals.

"Our main target is to work on the bike and adapt to the Yamaha but also we want to try to go fast and find a good setting that we can use for the race. Our goal for the upcoming season is win the Open class and fight as much as possible in the top ten," he declared.

Bradl had been twelfth fastest and just a fraction from top Open class rider Hector Barbera (Ducati) during November's official test at Valencia. Rookie team-mate Baz was 20th fastest and 1.6s slower than the German.

"I said before that Sepang is going be the first real test we have," Baz declared. "In Valencia at the end of the last season we were still modifying the position on the bike. The first real test will be this one, the first one where we can start to push. I don't have any special expectation I just want to learn step by step, not make any mistakes and build the feeling with the bike.

"For the upcoming season I just want to make everything step by step - at the first race we will see where we are and then from there we can improve for the next races and can be closer to the top Open bike. In the Open class there are a lot of fast riders - Laverty, Hayden, Bradl - so I have to improve and adapt my riding style. We can do it."

The opening Sepang test takes place from February 4-7.
