Cal Crutchlow said he felt good from the off on the CWM LCR Honda after the second MotoGP test got under way at Sepang in Malaysia.

The British rider was seventh fastest on the RC213V in some of the hottest conditions this year and worked specifically on corner entry, ending the opening day confident he is moving in the right direction.

"Today was the first day back on the bike since the last test, and I felt good straight away on it, much more comfortable," said Crutchlow.

"Everyone was a little way off what they were at the previous test but our speed was good and I felt happy with it.

"We worked hard on the settings again, and we know we need to improve things on corner entry, it's an area we are struggling in but overall I feel comfortable and confident and I'm looking forward to working hard for the next couple of days."

Crutchlow also ventured out onto the circuit for a few laps in the wet following a thunderstorm in the afternoon.
