Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez says he has 'few things left' to try with the RC213V after completing his development programme at the second Sepang test.

Marquez lost time on day one due to an issue with his brakes, but the MotoGP world champion managed to get through everything that was planned for the final shakedown in Malaysia nonetheless.

He finished the test on top once again with a best lap of 1m 59.115s, but failing to better his sizzling 1m 58s lap from the first test, set when track temperatures were lower than those experienced this week.

Nevertheless, his race simulation (see below) was significantly faster than at the first test with 16 of 19 laps under 2m 1s and an average time of 2m 0.760s. At Sepang 1, Marquez's race simulation had an average of 2m 1.180s and just five laps under 2m 1s.

"I'm happy because this morning we set a good lap, which is something important, but mostly I am pleased that we have completed all the work we had left pending from the first day," said Marquez.

"We're finished today with our homework done and I even had time to do a race simulation this afternoon, with a track temperature of 49?C.

"We have accomplished all the objectives we had set for this test, and now at the Qatar test our work will be more focused on the Grand Prix and fine tuning the set-up of the bike," he added.

"Everything is really close, but after six days everything comes forward but we need to wait until Argentina, Jerez, the normal races to see everybody's real level. I do not think there are many more new things to try."

Marquez was asked for his thoughts on the return of the British MotoGP round to Silverstone after a deal between Circuit of Wales and Donington Park fell through.

"Honestly, I think for MotoGP, the dimensions of Silverstone are better," he said. "I remember in 2008, or 2009, Donington was really tight; the dimensions of Silverstone are good."
