Dani Pedrosa evaluated a variety of electronics settings during the final day of the second Sepang MotoGP test, gaining a 'clear direction' for the next test in Qatar in March.

The Repsol Honda rider was seventh fastest on Wednesday with a time of 1m 59.912s on the RC213V and was pleased with the progress made in Malaysia.

"Overall this second test went well. Today we were trying many different combinations for the electronics set-up and we have managed to take a few positive steps forward," said Pedrosa.

"Obviously we still need to improve some things, but the good thing is that we are clearer about the set-up we have to use and the areas in which we need to make further progress at the next test.

"It's been a pretty intense few days and now we have to try to adapt our findings in the best way we can, in order to continue progressing at the next test and the races."

Pedrosa, one of only two riders along with Pramac Ducati's Yonny Hernandez to improve their time from the morning in the late afternoon, was also seventh fastest on the combined times over the three-day test at Sepang.
