Dani Pedrosa tested a new front fork as the Repsol Honda rider recorded the sixth quickest time on the penultimate da of the Qatar test under the floodlights at the Losail International Circuit.

Pedrosa managed to improve his time as track conditions improved with more rubber put down, lapping in 1m 55.582s as he finished behind Valentino Rossi in fifth and 0.675s adrift of the benchmark time set by Andrea Dovizioso.

"Today we were able to improve our pace, put in some good laps and be more consistent, which is positive. We also worked on the front end of the bike with a new fork, trying to improve the feeling and corner entry," Pedrosa said.
