Jorge Lorenzo was unhappy with the gap to the top of the time sheets as the Movistar Yamaha rider finished fourth on the penultimate day of the Qatar MotoGP test.

The double premier class champion had posted the second fastest time earlier in the session but later slipped back two places, lapping in 1m 55.500s to finish the day 0.593s behind Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso at the Losail International Circuit.

"It was another difficult day. The conditions of the track improved not a lot, but a little bit," Lorenzo said. "But we found similar problems to yesterday.

"Even though we improved the feeling with the bike a little, we are still far from the fastest time. We tried many things, but everyone else made a bigger step in their work, so let's see what happens tomorrow.
